Brazilian top steelmaker CSN said in a statement it is considering to create new companies to its logistics and mining portfolio. The Volta Redonda-based group said it could be made by an initial public offer of stocks or by joint ventures with other companies, but nothing has been decided.
CSN's mining assets include Casa de Pedra iron ore mine and Namisa, in which the Brazilian group recently sold 40% of its shares to a Korean-Japanese pool.
