Mineral Resources said today it has entered an agreement with Reed Resources to develop the Mount Marion lithium deposit between Kalgoorlie and Kambalda in Western Australia. The first junior miner is completing a feasibility study incorporating information derived from previous studies conducted by previous owners of the area, which now belongs to Reed.
The project is expected to process up to one million tonnes of ore per year with 6,5% lithium oxide. A larger processing plant may be built in the future to expand output.
