Brazil’s Petrobras announced on Tuesday a new oil finding off the Brazilian coast. The state-owned company said it found a new oil reserve near the Piranema block, 28 kilometers off the coast of Sergipe. In a statement, the company says the discovery is part of its strategy to search for oil in areas next to existing production blocks. The company plans to drill a second well in the region, under a similar depth of about 2,700 meters.
