Hard snowfalls to cause coking coal shortage in China

Have you seen the hard snowfalls closing airports in the U.S. and Europe? Well, the heavy snow is also affecting life in China as the Asian giant may face a coking coal shortage as the government gives priority to the rail shipment of energy coal amid these weather conditions. Chinese steelmakers are all having low inventories of the product. The lack of coking coal comes as steelmakers increase output and domestic coking coal deposits are unable to meet rising demand.
