Australia’s Atlas Iron said it expects to sell a stake in its giant Ridley iron ore deposit by the end of the year, and that it has received offers from Chinese, Indian, Korean and Japanese bidders. The Aussies aim to sell 70% of the area, located in Western Australia. The whole project holds about 2 billion tonnes of magnetite grading 36.5% of iron and it is worth US$ 2.8 billion. It could produce 15 million tons of ore concentrate over 30 years.
